An Unpublished Post..A Little About Me

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you. :)

.) Born in Toronto ON (at the time it was still York Township) in the Mount Sinai Hospital.

.) Grew up in west Toronto, Kingston, Petawawa, Ottawa, Don Mills, Bramalea and always in Woodland Beach.

.) Graduated from the University of Waterloo also from D'Youville College in Buffalo NY

.) Now enjoy the grace, beauty and fresh air of Georgian *Gorgeous* Bay, with the Blue Mountains in the distance.

.) I have furkids - Misty-O, Lola, Pekoe and Sweetie-Pie(Maxie)

.) I am single. A bit of a commitment- phobe type but have a friend :)

.) I have a faith.

.) I am a teacher and in my old life, worked in child welfare/social services.

.) I would one day like to write a book. We all have a story to tell :)

.) I collect pre WW2 Royal Albert polka dot fine bone china tea cups and saucers. I like nice tea cups, but those are a fave at the moment.

.) I met Pierre Trudeau. (Prime Minister of Canada in the 70s and 18's)

.) I also met John Diefenbaker. (former prime minister)

.) I have no singing voice at all and scare my cats when I sing around the house. The water stops running if I try to sing in the shower.

.) I have been to the rainforest. It was awe inspring...and darn hot! When I heard the howling monkeys I thought the little flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz were going to come running out of the forest - in little hats and vests.

.) I am a night owl, but try to go to bed just after David Letterman's monologue.

.) I ♥ David Letterman. Jay Leno is okay but he panders too much. I think Craig Ferguson will reign as night time talk show host when Dave retires. He is the best..second only to David Letterman.

.) I saw Red Skelton at the O'Keefe, he was great and so funny. I also saw Tony Bennett at Rama, he was wonderful. I am such a fan of crooner rock :).

.) I have been to Cuba several times. I love it there, the people, the beaches and the music. Whenever it opens up, I swear you will hear the sounds of a huge vacuum cleaner sucking up tourists all over the Carribean to bring them to the best beaches and wonderful hospitality.

.) I have also been to Columbia, Zhuijuatanejo-Ixtapa in Mexico, Belize, Cozumel briefly.

.) I want to go to Honduras (Roatan Bay)as my next Caribbean destination. I would trek through the rainforst, the Mayan ruins and see the mountains and waterfalls. Cairo is still my number one dream vacation, with a trip down the Nile. #2 Would be a cruise down the Amazon.

.) I am healthy but notes that it takes a brave woman to get old. I plan to live until I am 102. I plan to get my money's worth from my pension plans - darn government.

.) In my spare time, I enjoy reading, nice music, photos, planning my *dream*garden, being by, or on the water, wandering around checking out hamlets and quaint shops in the area. I WILL re-learn how to knit and crochet!

.) My least favourite attributes are my double chin, flat butt, overall 'fluffiness", scars/loss of pigment in my skin. I fear those plus size clothes *shutter* I still cut the size labels out of my clothes. That's just one of those quirks about me..

.) My best physical attributes are my smile, eyes, and complexion. I work hard at it and thank my Mom for good genes and for teaching me as a kid, and by example, the importance of taking care of your skin. Yay Mumsie. (although I would have preferred her stunning beauty - long neck, legs, trim figure,)

.) Best character traits: loyalty, advocate for those who are not able to, kindness, gentleness, usually a good listener, empathy, sincerity . I am honest and genuine. Worst charcater trait: impatience, being defensive and my caustic tongue when I have been really wronged. I don't hold grudges but I never forget!
