Whoohoo. I feel like such a hick ;). I haven't been downtown Toronto for almost 2 years and I do miss it. So tomorrow is the big day. I have my list of places to stop - work for my photo ID, Winners, LUSH, the new Bath and Bubble store, a repair shop (for my camera...BOOOOOOOOOO) and then the South Convention Centre for the Canada Blooms show.
Imagine, outside it's mid March, still quite cool in the city with a brisk wind blowing off the lake, lots of tall, grey skyscrapers, tons of cars all trying to squeeze into small spaces. The you go into the building and go down..down..down..(2 levels underground) to a HUGE convention hall, 100,000 square feet of glorious displays of flowers and gardens. (half of that is a marketplace full of wonderful vendors from all over Canada and the eastern US). I can smell that earth and feel the moisture as I descend the escalators now.
My other camera and I am ready to go. I even have the good, sensible (boohoo) shoes ready. YAY!
Psssst. You know you are old, or even an old teacher, when the cute shoes sit in the back of the closet and you pick the sensible ones. :|

Sounds like a wonderful day. Look forward to the pictures you are sure to post. :-)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the photos, My Muskoka is rather lacklustre these days. We just can't travel right now.
