Well we are back into the depths of winter. Tonight it a cold, windy blustery night and I can't see outside my windows.
It was a nice break last week. We had quite a melt, some nice above 0 temperatures and lots of sunshine, AND a holiday weekend! But winter is back with a vengeance. Oh well, only one more month of this and spring will be here. YAY. It's just around the corner. I can almost hear those poor buds trying to bloom on the trees and break through the ground. Hurry up flowers, we are waiting.
I have been hibernating and trying to muddle through everything. You know one step forward, two steps backwards. So my poor old blog, which I loved , has fallen beind. I am such a bad blogging friend. :(
A couple of pics of the icicles just outside my window. These things melt and created little icy wedges outside my door..pretty to look at but a pain!
Oh I know crab crab crab, does me no good though.

Dropped by from Tootsie Time. This post is too funny. I don't know how ya'll take so much cold weather. Seriously, when you can't go outside, what do you do? I'm in North Florida, US.
ReplyDeleteHi Deb, welcome back! Oh those icicles are huge....I know what you mean about the winter being too...long, but you're right, spring will be here soon (not soon enough). Stay warm.

Hi Deb, Hi Darla
ReplyDeleteWell Darla, I do keep busy somehow housework always needs to be done ;) Otherwise I just stare out the window and pine away for the warm weather :) My cousins live 6 monthsd of the year in Panama City Beach - I get to hear about walks along the beach, swimming in the pool and how cold is got there. 60 degrees1 Harumphhh hahaha,,,I keep busy, go for walks, I used to ski but I am getting older (and colder)
I don't want to get old, but I can hardly wait to be a snowbird!
Deb. I was home yesterday and glued to the tube watching Obama's GREAT visit to Ottawa. What a boost and happy news for a cghange. I want one of those cookies and a beavertail now. Yummmmmmm
Really, it was nice change from all the depressing news about the economy :0)
Hi Deb...Those are some major icicles!!! I see things trying to bud here....too early! They'll just get it when we have our annual late freeze at Easter!! I know what you mean by the longest short month. I used to hate Feb. when I was teaching...look in the want ads, etc. March 1st I was fine!! Once I figured that I got a major case of the blues every Feb,. I was fine! Hang in there!!!...Debbie
ReplyDeleteOh how I can relate!!! I have been hibernating since New Year's Day! Despite how pretty everything looks, I am so not into snow and cold. Hurry up sunshine!!
