Soon, the flowers will be blooming!
I left for work on Friday morning and wore boots. By lunch i was cursing that I forgot to carry a pair of shoes with me. The weather had warmed up, the kids were all out in spring clothes - and quite excited about March break - it was a beautiful day.
That night on the local news, A Channel out of Barrie, they spoke about the busy airports and highways as people left for March break but they also mentioned how busy the traffic was on the northbound 400 - the road to cottage country! Now these reports we don't usually hear until later in the season when everyone heads north for the weekend. It was music to my ears. Even better was that I no longer have to drive in it :)
Yesterday morning, as I stood outside on my deck, there were quite a few cars along our normally sleepy road. There were so many people walking, heading to walk along the still partially snow covered beach with their dogs. I saw neighbours stopping to talk, catch up on the news of the winter and of course discuss, that favourite Canadian topic - *the weather*!
Like bears who hibernate, the beach has come out of hibernation and is slowly waking up. It is WONDERFUL :):):)

It's about time for it to wake up isn't it?
