What a beautiful morning. The sky is blue, the sun is shining and it is about 3 or 4 degrees out there (36 - 40 F) Marhc Break is over and it is back to work tomorrow, the last stretch before summer. It'll be so much nicer now that I don't have to battle all the snow and cold.
I was off to the city to see Canada Blooms on Friday. I had a great day, took my time, meandered along back roads and ended up on Hwy 404/Don Vally Parkway into the city. Those who are familiar with Toronto will know that the DVP is a witch to drive anytime of the day, but for a west end gal like my self, and a skittish highway driver..it was hell! I can handle the west end, the 427 is a snap for me and the basket weave of the 400/401/410/403/407/QEW and Gardiner Expressway is just fine. I know it so well, all the merge lanes, sneaky ramps onto and off of the highway and when to start moving the 3 - 4 lanes ;) to make your exit. What the heck with the maniac speeders, don't they listen to the warnings on the news!

I think I am just getting old. I always was a 'obey all posted traffic signs' driver and I never speed - after that spike in insurance about 23 years ago when I got 3 tickets in a 2 year period. So many 8, 12 lane highways, so many speeders and what's with the trucks that sit on your butt.
I needed a drink when i got home!
/end rant and crabbing
Canada Blooms had changed but it was still GORGEOUS. I took many photos - go figure - and will share a few for now.

Below is a shot looking up at the CN tower as I went down the escalators. Neat shot eh? It was taken around 7 p.m.
