Happy New Year Welcome 2009

I spent the day taking down the decorations, except for my outside lights, it is quite dark around here - all the Christmas linens, towels etc are either put away or in the laundry. Heck all my dishes are done and my floors are swept :-D It's nice to start the New Year tidied and clean. I am a bit tired of the reds and cranberries.

I wil be spending the later part of the evening with friends, within walking distance and hopefully get down to see the beach. It's a balmy -16C, -24 with the windchill.(4 /-10F)Brrrrr. But it is nice to see the ski hills of Collingwood and Blue Mountain all lit up across Georgian Bay (aka Gorgeous Bay). I will take a shot of Bailey's to keep warm.

So it's another new years eve, another night like all the rest and we all have a new slate. I sincerely hope 2009 is a good one for everyone.

I wish you, your families and friends love, happiness, good health and prosperity.

Cheers
Deb

  3. It was a chilly day but the sun was so bright - we walked down the road a bit with the dogs following the turkey footprints until they veered off into the woods. The lake is looking like it has iced over again but it isn't thick enough to safely go out on it which means that the snowmobilers go elsewhere to drive their noisy machines.

    Have a Happy New Year!
