Time to get it Done

Well it's January 6, the year is a week old, the holidays are behind us and already I am in a 'hunkering down' mood. The weather has been fine, much milder (the weather is more tolerable here if the temps range from 0 to -5 (32 F to 25F). We haven't has any major snow 'events' (events??? *rolls eyes* that is the latest weather lingo for snow storms. Sheesh!) yet. So all in all it has been an okay start to the year.

Inevitably, this is the time of the year when I feel blah. No ups, no downs, just the feeling that we have 2 months of winter so I may as well hunker down and get things done! By March 1, the weather can be so unpredictable, but March break is almost here, Easter is well on it's way and you can almost smell the earth beneath the snow beginning to move. We know that spring is just about here! YAY

I try hard not to wish the time away, as I value time far too much and I don't want to rush my life - but still, it's a tough one.

I've taken a few tiny steps to start 'Living my Best Life', a la Oprah. Since Boxing Day I only have 100% whole grain breads and crackers. (okay those snackies on New Years Eve couldn't be avoided.)and drink at least my 6 glasses of water a day. Drinking water has never been an issue for me as I like it and always feel better when I drink water, but to have to remind myself as I was slipping.

The sun was shining today and the sky was a gorgeous blue. I haven't seen enough of that lately. I do miss the sun.

  1. Hi Deb, the weather was beautiful here today and oh that blue sky. Unfortunately they are calling for one of those snow events tommorrow.
Possibly 15 to 20 cm. Could they be mistaken?
I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

  2. Ohhh...you sound like you are doing so well on eating well! I am not. :-( I can't even think about it yet! I used to hate the month of February when I was teaching. The first year I was even looking at the want ads to change jobs...thought I had made a big mistake! I finally figured out like you that it passes if I can just stand it. I need to clean out the future guest/grandbaby room and I can't make myself do anything but blog! lol Thanks for dropping by and leaving such kind remarks! Have a nice evening...Debbie
