I LOVE May

This is the perfect time of the year. the days are longer, it is sunny and warm, not too hot, the evenings are cool and the nights are not too cold! I enjoy sitting outside watching the sun set over the bay, seeing the flowers bloom, hearing all the birds and seeing the hundreds of chipmunks running around. It is like a Chipmunk circus. There were many years that they seemed to have disappeared and now they are back with a vengance, and they are so darn cute.

We had quite the winter around here with the lake effect snow. Winters are usually cold and snowy but it seemed to be that much extra snow that started mid November and stayed until the end of April almost.

So this has been just the perfect May - so far.

I haven't been on my computer as much with the nice weather and there just seems to be so much to do. I am looking forward to planting flowers - it will be all containers and checking out the gardens.

Spring is here, the flowers are blooming - slowly - it's great.

I had to include a photo of one of the stunning sunets. I took this shot a few nights ago.

  1. May is a really busy month. Seems like there is always a chore at home to do or an event that we must attend. I still love it....finally warm summer days!

  2. Isn't it great? Everything beginning to bud and/or bloom?
The cats are so happy to be out and about, prowling and looking for prey.
I planted pansies yesterday. It was a sort of Guerilla Gardening event! I put some in a planter on the door step of a palliative care client of mine. It really cheered things up at her doorway. She has a lot of support people coming and going and the bright yellow makes it a bit less drab.

  4. May has been lovely so far, I agree. With so much to do in the gardens it HAS been hard to do everything else. Choices, choices.
