It's New Year's Eve Eve :0))

We have had milder weather, which has been a relief, but some firece high winds. I was lucky as my power was only our for 2 hours, but a friend was without for 30 hours. Brrrr. Ah the joys of living at the cottage :):):)

I am looking forward to another New Year, it's a clean slate and whatever happens - well it happens. You just play the cards you are dealt. I rarely make resolutions as they are usually just too much and why set myself up to fail - often by January 2. This year, I started a bit earlier to make a positive change.

I had a nice simple Christmas with friends and family. So many changes, but it was nice. I got my windshield wipers fixed Christmas Eve morning then headed off in pouring rain, to meet a friend at Square 1 in Mississauga- one of my fave shopping malls. What the hell was I thinking? Insanity. I did manage to pick up a few goodies though.

I headed out to picturesque Waterdown for a lovely dinner and evening with the Collins/Ellersdorfer/Carricks. I then slid off to Brampton for the night with my sis and niece. My car is so small, the winds were fierce and the roads so icy that I was able to catch the wind and get blown all the way there. Sheesh - white knuckle driving. The snow plows and sanders are my new best friends.

After a small, cozy family Christmas and an early dinner, I headed back to Woodland. I really love the peace and quiet. It was a 400 km/ 250 approximately, round trip.

Santa was good to me and I smell nice, will be warm and snuggly and also have warm toasty feet this winter *<8-}}

After having a 'moment' just before Christmas, my frig and cupboards are now filled with 100% whole GRAIN bread, Wasa and rye vita crackers,fish, lots of veggies, fresh fruit and water. I have always drank tons of water and noticed I was slipping. So I am back to 6 - 8 500 ml bottles a day. I am feeling better already. Of course I can't wander too far from the house ;), but my skin is looking better. Hey I may be fluffy, but at least I will have a nice complexion. (Okay thanks also to my dear friend Estee lauder)l.

I may just have to jump on the Oprah bandwagon and her Living Your best life. I will never be thin, but the goal is to feel better and - de-bloat.

The next three months - nose to the grindstone and, as my sweet friend says, 'time to get it done'.:-)

I have to head out to Barrie - the city - to get some errands done and do some banking :| Oh dear, that should be scary! I plan to be more attentive to my blogging world once the holiday season winds down.

Cheers
