I Love A Parade

Oh I love a parade, even a small parade with two or three floats, including a fire truck and a couple of police cars.

I live on a beach on Georgian Bay. We are slowly growing but there are probably only about 300 people, mostly retired folks, here. We are part of a long stretch of 40 kms of sandy beaches on the eastern shores on Georgian Bay in Tiny. And our township had a parade! AND a tree lighting ceremony at the township offices.

It started here and consisted of 2 firetrucks,2 flatbeds, 3 or 4 OPP (provincial police) and the paramedics...but there were so many lights, great Christmas songs and it just started to snow. The pics aren't great as I have small digi camera , but you can imagine how pretty. It winded its way along a narrow, windy road through about seven or eights of the beaches.

It wound its way to the municipal offices where there were horse drawn sleighs, apple cider, hot chocolate, clementine oranges, gingerbread cookies, some snow games for the kids, carolling and somewhere a tree lighting! Lovely.
