June is Such a Pretty Month

I have been a bad blogger lately :( I have been quite busy and my silly old computer is so darn slow. It is a pain sometimes and by the time I am booted, logged on etc...well I am too frustrated to type.

It is just so lovely here. The leaves are almost filled in, the flowers beginning to bloom, and the days are just so long. There is quite a gorgoeus afterglow from the sunets - which are as stunning as always.

I watched the whole Susan Boyle story. What a lovely singer and how sad that the British press was vicuous and turned on her. Her behaviour nay have been different, but it appeared she was provoked. After being called names, all the sly back handed compliments - it's no wonder. I am trusting that the people caring for her sincerely have her best interests at heart and want to help her. I look forward to hearing her sing again.

I am disgusted at people's reactions for anyone they deem 'different' or 'odd'. So what? Who cares? Is there some sort of manual advising women, married or single, forty or sixty, cats or dogs, fat or skinny, grey haired or blonde, on how to live or behave. I thought we had come so fare and were civilised. We haven't. A pox on them all.

Time for a break (I am on lunch at work ;) and some tea.

  1. Once that stupid media gets hold of someone's life, it's ruined usually.
People need to start suing, to get their lives back. Freedom of Press now means that it's run amok. Wrong, very wrong...how it taints people's perceptions of someone. We're silly to crave it, which is part of the frenzy cause.
Sigh....some times are rotten in this world, and the media is one.
Susan's talent is amazing...and I can't imagine her trying to cope with all the changes. Her life as she once knew it, is gone. A cup of tea, and her kitty would probably be good therapy for her.
It sure is for us, isn't it?

  2. There is a preponderance for people to judge one another.

I agree - shoe wasn't entering a beauty contest, but a talent show.

Nothing like a good cuppa tea!

  3. Hi Deb...So true about the media! So sad, though! She's a very talented lady. Are you still working? When does school end for you? Here, the kids got out May 23rd...of course they'll be back in around August 10th, I think! Yikes! Hope you are having a nice weekend...hugs...Debbie
