It is a wild and woolly night. The temperture is 5 degrees (40 F) and the winds must be 50- 60 kms (30 - 40mph). Yikes. My bedroom window faces the bay and on most nights is is wonderful to be lulled to sleep by the roar of the waves on the bay, but tonight it is almost scary. They are predicting lake effect snow in the next 24 hours. More snow in October! Aacckk

We had the winds and cold temperatures here at Kahshe as well. Our place faces south-west and is perched above the water about 60 feet up on the Canadian Shield (no beach for us!) so the wind can really whistle here. We had a lovely toasty fire which kept us cozy all night. It rained most of the night but there seems to be a lull now ... and I expect we will get the snow as well. I hope it holds off for a while longer - we have a few bulbs left to plant and some outdoor chores we want to finish before the ground is covered!
ReplyDeleteIt was quite the night but I was warm and toasty, it will only be about 4 tomorrow with possible snow. Brrrr..We`are stillslightly warmer because of the lake, but that will change soon.
ReplyDeleteI love Muskoka and all the lakes, trees and outcrops. We always have the Muskoka-Southern Georgian Bay debate because we have a beach.:)
So we have that community feel as we all sit on the beach, see everyone walking the beach and going for ice cream every night.
It's a great life this cottage life.
I do thank you for reading my blog and being a 'follower' :)) I read yours and just love your stunning photos. WOW. I have always been a shutter bug, but tend to be more beachy and sunset - which is a bit of a cliche. I like taking them anyway.
Thanks and so nice to 'read' you.
Oh! ... Do drop in and see what I have left for you on Views From My Camera!
