Summertime and the Living is Easy

I know we are suppose to be blogging without obligation, but I feel badly for neglecting my blog for a few weeks. I don't want to just be a wintertime blogger :(. I have had connection problems, and I am outside as much as possible to enjoy this summer er spring like weather.

A few weeks ago the lovely Susan over at Between Naps on the Porch,had a give away for some lovely tassels from the TasselHouse. Oh my gosh Angela has the most adorable tassels. I loved them all!

Well, I checked my email and there was an email from Susan telling me I had won!! WHOOOPPPEEEE!! *cartwheels* I was so thrilled. So I am waiting for my wonderful tassel to arrive, I have a few picked out for my Christmas shopping. To Susan and Angela - a huge THANK YOU!!!!! Please check out their blogs and store. These ladies are just wonderful. Beware, Susan's blog is addicting. Her tablescapes are to die for and she hosts a weekly tablescape meme. know that extreme tablescaping will turn up at the next Olympics. Susan will be the one to beat.


My friend has been up on vacation, so it has been late afternoons on the beach - I watch the sun and uses SPF60 - relaxing evenings on the deck and catching up on old videos. I have been enjoying myself. Since I live in a tourist area, aka cottage country, there are so many people up and lots of people to visit with and stop and chat with.

Every year Collingwood, Ontario hosts the Elvis festival. There are many events, attractions and the crowded streets are closed. My gosh you can see all the Elvii wandering around around. Now I am not a huge fan, although I do enjoy his music, and I think some of the post-Elvis stuff is over the top, but Collingwood is a lot of fun. So tomorrow we are heading over to see if we can spot a few Elvii :)
